Huahine

Beautiful people, beautiful island

Huahine in French Polynesia is a stunningly beautiful island! The people of Huahine are so genuine, gentle & kind. These little children that I met in the grocery store stole my heart. They were so beautiful! They were friendly and happy to have their photo taken with me. They were excited when I showed them our photo on my phone.

Riding the open-air public transportation bus around the island was an experience. Around every twist & turn of the road showed another beautiful mountain, quaint village home or friendly locals walking along the road. I road the local bus from one end of the island to the other. At the end of the route, I got off and walked to a remote beach. Relaxing on the white powdery sand and swimming in the gorgeous turquoise waters was so peaceful.

Always when I look at this photo of these children and I, I smile. I fondly remember the delightful time I spent on the beautiful island of Huahine.
