New Mexico always had an appeal to me. It seemed far away, exotic and off the beaten path. In July 2019, I decided that I would experience New Mexico for myself. I flew into Albuquerque and used it as my base to tour around the area.

In May 2016 I had the honour of hosting the Edmonton Transit Pipe & Drum Band along with the Ponoka Royal Canadian Legion on a European War Memorial Tour of Holland, Belgium and France. My teenage son Sam was allowed to accompany me on the tour. The photo of us was taken at Normandy, France.

The first time I visited Santorini, Greece and made my way to the town of Oia, I was in complete awe. I had never experienced such an awesome wonder view! Overlooking the deep dark blue water of the caldera in contrast to the whitewashed buildings was breathtaking.

In May 2018 my son Sam & I boarded a high-speed train in St. Petersburg, Russia bound for Moscow. To say we were a bit nervous but excited at the same time was an understatement. It was hard to comprehend that we were actually in Russia traveling across the vast countryside.

Parts of Canada offer breathtaking beautiful scenery.  One of these such areas is Tofino. Tofino offers some of the most incredible scenery I have seen in all of Canada.
